Nov 13: Daily briefing on novel coronavirus cases in China

On Nov 12, 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland reported 75 new cases of confirmed infections (18 imported cases, 6 in Yunnan province, 4 in Shanghai municipality, 3 in Tianjin municipality, 1 in Beijing municipality, 1 in Zhejiang province, 1 in Fujian province, 1 in Guangdong province and 1 in Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region, including 1 confirmed case converting from an asymptomatic case in Zhejiang; 57 indigenous cases, 40 in Dalian, Liaoning province, 4 in Xinji, Hebei province, 4 in Alshaa League, Inner Mongolia autonomous region, 3 in Shangrao, Jiangxi province, 2 in Heihe, Heilongjiang province, 1 in Haidian district, Beijing, 1 in Zhengzhou, Henan province, 1 in Chengdu, Sichuan province and 1 in Dehong Dai and Jingpo autonomous prefecture, Yunnan, including 32 confirmed cases converting from asymptomatic cases, 29 in Liaoning and 3 in Inner Mongolia), 1 new case of suspected infections (an imported case in Shanghai), and no deaths. 46 patients were released from hospital after being cured. 2,858 people who had had close contact with infected patients were freed from medical observation. Serious cases increased by 1.

As of 24:00 on Nov 12, 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland had reported 9,846 cases of imported confirmed infections and no deaths. In all, 9,469 patients had been cured and discharged from hospital. There still remained 377 confirmed cases (including 2 cases in serious condition) and 3 suspected cases.

As of 24:00 on Nov 12, the National Health Commission had received reports of 98,174 confirmed cases and 4,636 deaths in 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland, and in all 92,229 patients had been cured and discharged from hospital. There still remained 1,309 confirmed cases (including 21 cases in serious condition) and 3 suspected cases. 1,294,716 people had been identified as having had close contact with infected patients. 49,309 were still under medical observation.

On Nov 12, 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland reported 34 new asymptomatic cases (16 imported cases; 18 indigenous cases, 13 in Shangrao, Jiangxi, 3 in Dalian, Liaoning, 1 in Zhoukou, Henan and 1 in Shapingba district, Chongqing municipality). 16 asymptomatic cases were freed from medical observation (including 13 imported cases) and 33 asymptomatic cases became confirmed cases (including 1 imported case). As of 24:00 on Nov 12, 518 asymptomatic cases were still under medical observation (including 359 imported cases).

As of 24:00 on Nov 12, 28,930 confirmed infections had been reported in the Hong Kong and Macao special administrative regions and Taiwan province: 12,378 in Hong Kong (213 had died and 12,072 had been cured and discharged from hospital), 77 in Macao (76 had been cured and discharged from hospital) and 16,475 in Taiwan (848 had died and 13,742 had been cured and discharged from hospital).
