Shanghai sees record-high expat accommodation registrations in 2025

The number of temporary accommodation registrations of foreign nationals in Shanghai hit a record high of 7.139 million in 2025, representing a year-on-year increase of 49.6 percent, the Exit-Entry Administration Corps of the Shanghai Municipal Public Security Bureau said Thursday.
