A powerful regime during the Zhou Dynasty (c.11th century-256 BC), the Jin State was a dominant power in Central China for more than 150 years and nurtured the Jin culture.

Based on the sites of its capital and noble tombs in Quwo county, Shanxi province, the Jin State Museum is China’s first museum themed around Jin culture and history, showcasing a great number of precious relics to illustrate its 600 years of existence. Let’s learn more about the museum by looking at photos provided by students from the Communication University of China during their summer field research there!
