GAC Honda launched the Breeze PHEV e plus at prices ranging from 247,800-279,800 yuan ($38,533-43,508) on Monday.
The carmaker offers six free maintenance visits within three years and a free charging pile to buyers.
The SUV is equipped with Honda’s most advanced third-generation Intelligent Multi Mode Drive, which features two electric motors, plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV) technology and a Sport Hybrid e plus system. Altogether, it can generate a maximum output of 158 kilowatts and a top torque of 315 Newton meters.
At the third GAC Honda Challenge held last month, the Breeze PHEV made a record by running 2,321 kilometers on just 60 liters of gasoline.
The new model is equipped with the Honda Sensing driving assistance system, adaptive cruise control, lane-keeping assistance, lane watch and other systems that help provide a better driving experience.
The Breeze PHEV e plus is equipped with the Honda Connect 2.0 intelligent system, which features voice recognition and navigation and other intelligent tools.
GAC Honda sold 118,385 units of Breeze over the first three quarters, increasing 9.1 percent year-on-year. Its sales totaled 300,000 since it hit the Chinese market.
