Gurigesitai means "having wild animals" in Mongolian.
It is located in Xi Ujimchin Banner in Xiliin Gol League and covers an area of 98,931 hectares. The forest coverage rate of the nature reserve is 60.7 percent, and it has 33 types of animals under national protection.
Gurigesitai National Nature Reserve is the first national-level forest ecosystem nature reserve in the Xiliin Gol Grassland and the second national nature reserve in Xiliin Gol League.
