Cliff inscriptions are a kind of stone carving art from ancient China. The National Museum of China in Beijing is displaying nearly 60 cliff inscription rubbings from Yongzhou, Central China's Hunan province dating from the Tang Dynasty (618-907) to modern times. They represent national rejuvenation, social stability, and the cultural prosperity of ancient scholars.
