Sanya snatches national tourism promotion honor

Sanya's tourism brand image "New Youth, Wonder Island" was recently selected as one of the 24 typical cases of national tourism promotion in 2020, which was announced by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism recently. Sanya has become the only city selected in Hainan province, and will receive support in funds, talent training and marketing institutions construction.

The brand image was launched on Dec 1, 2020 by the Sanya tourism promotion bureau. Combining the images from the popular game Animal Crossing, Sanya depicts young visitors as five anthropomorphic animals, namely an octopus, seal, squirrel, shark, and koala, which respectively correspond to the five major tourism interests of foods, photography, humanities, outdoor sports, and hotels. The anthropomorphic images are created to expand the popularity of Sanya tourism among young people.

Sanya tourism promotion bureau has stepped up its promotion efforts with the tourism industry promotion conference and public promotion activities, which were held in major tourist market cities such as Hangzhou, Nanjing, Guangzhou and Shenzhen. The five types of youthful images have helped Sanya demonstrate its abundant tourism resources and vigorous development of the tourism market.
