Co-hosted with the Shanghai Museum, the National Museum of China in Beijing has launched an exhibition of bronze ding vessels from the Shang and Zhou dynasties (c.16th century-256 BC).
Themed around three large bronze ding tripods, namely the Ding of Zilong, the Great Ding of Ke, and the Great Ding of Yu, the exhibition explores how the ritual system of ding, as well as their decorative patterns, shapes, inscriptions, and craftsmanship, represent Chinese culture.
