Jiaxing tourist products win national awards

Four pieces of Jiaxing tourist products stood out of 80,000 entries to win awards at the 2021 China Special Tourist Products Competition, which was recently held in Sichuan province.

The folding draw-bar box and the vintage hand lamp designed by Jiaxing Qilin Cultural and Creative Co Ltd won the gold and silver awards.

The folding box's dominant tone is Chinese red, while its surface is designed with the figures 1921 and 2021, as well as a five-star pattern, which refer to the 100 years of development of the Communist Party of China.

Another prize winner integrates traditional paper folding handicrafts with modern technology. "The lampshade is resistant to tear and is waterproof, allowing steam to permeate," said Chen Xugang, general manager of Qilin.

The hand-painted sun hat created by Jiaxing L&A Silk Co Ltd won another gold award. "The hat is made out of mulberry silk. Therefore, it's light, air-permeable, and comfortable to wear," noted Zhu Huixing, manager of the company.

According to Zhou, the hand-painted hat is unique, with contributions made by master painters.

The bronze award went to the products developed by Jiaxing Yantian Zhicai Cultural and Creative Co Ltd. These products feature pictures of wildlife found in the countries along the Silk Road.
