Jinan Intl Spring Water Festival opens

A spring worship ceremony was held at Baotu Spring Park on Sept 6, marking the opening of the ninth Jinan International Spring Water Festival.

This year's event, which will last until Sept 11, features 13 major activities and has four sub-venues to promote the city's spring water culture and Yellow River culture. Activities at the sub-venues will include fruit-picking, lakeside cycling, floating river lanterns and fishing contests in the countryside.

The festival has been held for eight years since 2013 and has become an important platform for foreign cultural exchange.

Jinan is a world-famous spring water city, a national historical and cultural city, and a Culture City of East Asia. The city has numerous natural springs which give the city its distinct scenery.
