I. Wear a mask when you are:

1. at crowded indoor places such as shopping malls, supermarkets, cinemas, assembly rooms, airports, docks and public areas of hotels.

2. taking an elevator, or travelling by plane, train, ship, coach, subway, bus or any other public transportation.

3. in crowded outdoor places such as open-air plazas, theaters and parks.

4. in hospital for medical treatment or caregiving, receiving a temperature check, a health code check, travel information registration and other health checks.

5. having symptoms such as nasopharyngeal discomfort, coughing, sneezing and fever.

6. in a restaurant or a canteen, but not having food.

II. Tips for wearing masks

It is recommended to choose disposable masks, surgical masks and masks with higher-grade filters.

1. Wear the mask correctly and make sure it covers your mouth, nose and chin. Adjust the nose clip so that the mask can fit snugly against your face.

2. The mask should be replaced in time if it is dirty, deformed, damaged or smelly. Each mask can be worn no more than eight hours altogether.

3. It is not recommended to reuse the masks that have been worn during interregional travels via public transportation or in environments such as hospitals.

4. Masks that need to be reused should be hung in a clean, dry and ventilated place when not in use.

5. If you experience discomfort such as shortness of breath when wearing a mask, go to an open and ventilated place and remove the mask immediately.

6. When going out, take spare masks and store them in their original packaging bags or clean storage bags to avoid deformation.

7. It is advised to keep some anti-particulate masks and medical protective masks at home in case of need.
