Precious plant spotted in Changbai Mountains

Let’s say hi to these little white elfins!

Bunches of Monotropastrum humile were spotted in a recent scientific research project in the Changbai Mountains, Northeast China’s Jilin province. With certain demands on the natural environment, these plants are very precious and present a pure white color as they don’t contain photosynthetic pigments.
