Based on the eponymous novel, the new version of the modern Cantonese Opera work The Lane of Three Families debuted at the Guangzhou Friendship Theater, Guangzhou city, Guangdong province, on July 28. It creates a vivid description of the great social changes in Guangzhou during the 1920s.
