On July 26, 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland reported 71 new cases of confirmed infections (40 imported cases, 19 in Yunnan province, 13 in Guangdong province, 4 in Shanghai municipality, 3 in Jiangsu province and 1 in Sichuan province; 31 indigenous cases in Jiangsu), 4 new cases of suspected infections (all were imported cases in Shanghai), and no deaths. 17 patients were released from hospital after being cured. 331 people who had had close contact with infected patients were freed from medical observation. Serious cases increased by 3.

As of 24:00 on July 26, 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland had reported 7,286 cases of imported confirmed infections and no deaths. In all, 6,671 patients had been cured and discharged from hospital. There still remained 615 confirmed cases (including 18 cases in serious condition) and 4 suspected cases.

As of 24:00 on July 26, the National Health Commission had received reports of 92,676 confirmed cases and 4,636 deaths in 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland, and in all 87,245 patients had been cured and discharged from hospital. There still remained 795 confirmed cases (including 20 cases in serious condition) and 4 suspected cases. 1,077,340 people had been identified as having had close contact with infected patients. 11,046 were still under medical observation.

On July 26, 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland reported 20 new asymptomatic cases (17 imported cases; 3 indigenous cases in Liaoning province). 15 asymptomatic cases were freed from medical observation (all were imported cases) and 10 asymptomatic cases became confirmed cases (including 3 imported cases). As of 24:00 on July 26, 431 asymptomatic cases were still under medical observation (including 410 imported cases).

As of 24:00 on July 26, 27,619 confirmed infections had been reported in the Hong Kong and Macao special administrative regions and Taiwan province: 11,978 in Hong Kong (212 had died and 11,701 had been cured and discharged from hospital), 59 in Macao (53 had been cured and discharged from hospital) and 15,582 in Taiwan (786 had died and 12,603 had been cured and discharged from hospital).
