An iron bell from Qianlong period (1711-1799), the heaviest Ye collected so far, is also showcased to the public. Other highlights cover a bell engraved with TITANIC1912 to commemorate the sinking of Titanic in 1912 in the North Atlantic Ocean and a collection of 100 bells to celebrate the centenary of the founding of the Communist Party of China this year.
According to Ye, the show’s aimed at enriching residents’ life and preserving the cultural and artistic value of bells.
“My love to Chinese culture gets deeper when I know more about bells whose culture embodies Chinese civilization and wisdom,”said Ye who has collected over 4,000 bells from across the world over the past three decades.
