The classical Peking Opera work The Legend of the White Snake was performed at the Phoenix Theater in Fuzhou, Fujian province, welcoming the 44th session of UNESCO's World Heritage Committee which is being held in the city.
One of the four great Chinese folklores, The Legend of the White Snake tells the love story between a human male and a female snake spirit.
