The leaves of Victoria lilies have grown to 1.92 meters in diameter, the largest in the past 60 years,at the Xishuangbanna Tropical Botanical Gardens of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Xishuangbanna Dai autonomous prefecture, Southwest China's Yunnan province.
Indigenous to the tropical area of the South America, Victoria lilies are a famous breed of water ornamental plant whose leaves can grow over 2 meters in diameter and bear a weight of 60 to 70 kilograms.
Introduced to the garden in 1963, they have become its signature plant and are best viewed between June and October each year.
