Trans-border waterfall turns golden with heavy rains

Due to the recent continuous rainy days, the Detian Waterfall, which crosses the border between China and Vietnam, has seen a huge increase in water volume. It turns golden as the water carries the mud from the banks, unfolding a painted scroll of these marvelous natural scenes.

Located in Detian village, Chongzuo city of Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region, the Detian Waterfall is linked with the Ban Gioc Waterfall in Vietnam. It is the grandest cross-border waterfall in Asia and the fourth largest in the world; it boasts an annual water flow treble the one of the Huangguoshu Waterfall. It was inscribed as the 5A national scenic spot with splendid and magnificent scenery in 2018.
