June 30: Daily briefing on novel coronavirus cases in China

On June 29, 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland reported 9 new cases of confirmed infections (all were imported cases, 2 in Fujian province, 2 in Hubei province, 2 in Yunnan province, 1 in Hunan province, 1 in Guangdong province and 1 in Sichuan province), no new cases of suspected infections, and no deaths. 13 patients were released from hospital after being cured. 1,863 people who had had close contact with infected patients were freed from medical observation. Serious cases decreased by 1.
As of 24:00 on June 29, 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland had reported 6,588 cases of imported confirmed infections and no deaths. In all, 6,195 patients had been cured and discharged from hospital. There still remained 393 confirmed cases (including 10 cases in serious condition) and no suspected cases.
As of 24:00 on June 29, the National Health Commission had received reports of 91,780 confirmed cases and 4,636 deaths in 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland, and in all 86,689 patients had been cured and discharged from hospital. There still remained 455 confirmed cases (including 11 cases in serious condition) and no suspected cases. 1,059,505 people had been identified as having had close contact with infected patients. 15,044 were still under medical observation.
On June 29, 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland reported 9 new asymptomatic cases (all were imported cases). 21 asymptomatic cases were freed from medical observation (17 were imported cases) and 1 (imported case) became a confirmed case. As of 24:00 on June 29, 481 asymptomatic cases were still under medical observation (including 469 imported cases).
As of 24:00 on June 29, 26,723 confirmed infections had been reported in the Hong Kong and Macao special administrative regions and Taiwan province: 11,921 in Hong Kong (211 had died and 11,628 had been cured and discharged from hospital), 54 in Macao (51 had been cured and discharged from hospital) and 14,748 in Taiwan (643 had died and 10,086 had been cured and discharged from hospital).
