June 27: Daily briefing on novel coronavirus cases in China

On June 26, 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland reported 14 new cases of confirmed infections (all were imported cases, 5 in Yunnan province, 4 in Fujian province, 1 in Beijing municipality, 1 in Tianjin municipality, 1 in Shanghai municipality, 1 in Guangdong province and 1 in Sichuan province), no new cases of suspected infections, and no deaths. 26 patients were released from hospital after being cured. 1,784 people who had had close contact with infected patients were freed from medical observation. Serious cases decreased by 1.
As of 24:00 on June 26, 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland had reported 6,540 cases of imported confirmed infections and no deaths. In all, 6,154 patients had been cured and discharged from hospital. There still remained 386 confirmed cases (including 12 cases in serious condition) and no suspected cases.
As of 24:00 on June 26, the National Health Commission had received reports of 91,732 confirmed cases and 4,636 deaths in 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland, and in all 86,634 patients had been cured and discharged from hospital. There still remained 462 confirmed cases (including 13 cases in serious condition) and no suspected cases. 1,057,064 people had been identified as having had close contact with infected patients. 17,908 were still under medical observation.
On June 26, 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland reported 21 new asymptomatic cases (all were imported cases). 20 asymptomatic cases were freed from medical observation (including 17 imported cases) and 2 (imported cases) became confirmed cases. As of 24:00 on June 26, 471 asymptomatic cases were still under medical observation (including 455 imported cases).
As of 24:00 on June 26, 26,509 confirmed infections had been reported in the Hong Kong and Macao special administrative regions and Taiwan province: 11,911 in Hong Kong (210 had died and 11,624 had been cured and discharged from hospital), 53 in Macao (51 had been cured and discharged from hospital) and 14,545 in Taiwan (623 had died and 9,916 had been cured and discharged from hospital).
