June 26: Daily briefing on novel coronavirus cases in China

On June 25, 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland reported 25 new cases of confirmed infections (all were imported cases, 6 in Sichuan province, 5 in Yunnan province, 4 in Fujian province, 4 in Guangdong province, 3 in Shanghai municipality, 2 in Hunan province and 1 in Zhejiang province), no new cases of suspected infections, and no deaths. 37 patients were released from hospital after being cured. 1,790 people who had had close contact with infected patients were freed from medical observation. The number of serious cases remained unchanged.
As of 24:00 on June 25, 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland had reported 6,526 cases of imported confirmed infections and no deaths. In all, 6,137 patients had been cured and discharged from hospital. There still remained 389 confirmed cases (including 11 cases in serious condition) and no suspected cases.
As of 24:00 on June 25, the National Health Commission had received reports of 91,718 confirmed cases and 4,636 deaths in 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland, and in all 86,608 patients had been cured and discharged from hospital. There still remained 474 confirmed cases (including 14 cases in serious condition) and no suspected cases. 1,056,427 people had been identified as having had close contact with infected patients. 19,057 were still under medical observation.
On June 25, 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland reported 23 new asymptomatic cases (all were imported cases). 12 asymptomatic cases were freed from medical observation (including 11 imported cases) and 2 (imported cases) became confirmed cases. As of 24:00 on June 25, 472 asymptomatic cases were still under medical observation (including 453 imported cases).
As of 24:00 on June 25, 26,427 confirmed infections had been reported in the Hong Kong and Macao special administrative regions and Taiwan province: 11,909 in Hong Kong (210 had died and 11,621 had been cured and discharged from hospital), 53 in Macao (51 had been cured and discharged from hospital) and 14,465 in Taiwan (610 had died and 9,650 had been cured and discharged from hospital).
