Volvo launched the new XC60 in Shanghai on Friday. The carmaker is offering nine variants of the SUV at suggested prices of 373,900-603,900 yuan ($58,400-94,330).

One variant is equipped with the new-generation 2.0 liter direct injection turbo and supercharged engine and 48-volt hybrid system. The model with Recharge T8 plug-in hybrid system has a maximum output of 288 kilowatts and a top torque of 640 Newton meters. It can accelerate from 0-100 km in 5.5 seconds.

The model is 4,708 millimeters long with the wheelbase stretching 2,865 mm.

As the carmaker has cooperated with global IT companies - such as Didi Chuxing, Google, Tencent, Baidu and Gaode Map - the new model has impressive features to meet customers' demands of an intelligent driving experience.

It is equipped with Android’s in-car system, which is similar to a mobile phone interface with a fast response and high security rating. It is also equipped with the voice recognition system of iFlytek.

According to Yuan Xiaolin, president and CEO of Volvo Car Asia-Pacific, it will be the first car maker to use NVIDIA Orin chips. These will increase a car’s algorithmic capability, contributing to the development of autonomous driving and intelligent cockpits in electric vehicles.
