Dongfeng Motor's premium marque Voyah has kicked off a three-month test drive of its Voyah Free SUV, which will be delivered in the third quarter this year.

The model, available in both range-extending and electric versions, measures 4,905 mm in length and has a wheelbase of 2,960 mm. There are eight exterior colors and three interior colors to choose from.

The Voyah Free has a maximum output of up to 510 kW and a top torque of up to 1040 Nm. It can accelerate from zero to 100 km per hour in 4 seconds, offering a sense of gravity loss rarely experienced in SUVs, and decelerate from 100 km per hour to zero in 35.9 meters.

In terms of onboard functions, the model has a three-in-one touchscreen display, and the three sections can move freely with a swipe on the screen, making it easier for the front-row passenger to help with navigation and other functions.

Gesture and voice commands are available, and up to 20 smart advanced driving assist functions come as standard.

It also boasts the night vision system that is rarely found in vehicles of the same segment. With a working distance of 150 meters, it further enhances road safety at night.

The model features an automatic parking system, enabled by 12 ultrasound wave radars and four 360-degree cameras.

Besides the popular software updates online, the vehicle's firmware about vehicle control, suspension and power control can be updated over the air as well.

Voyah said it will launch at least one new model each year in the following five years, covering sedans, MPVs and SUVs.
