Opened to the public in 2018, the Chunshu Library is a medium-sized library tucked away in a hutong ally in downtown Beijing. The building, a quadrangle dwelling, is the former residence of famous Chinese journalist Lin Baishui (1874-1926). The residence was rated as a foremost protected cultural heritage site in Xicheng district in 1990.

The library is open to both adults and minors. Boasting a founding collection of 15,000 books, it also purchases new books on a regular basis to ensure its holdings keep pace with the general book market.

The library is also planning multiple services, including those of books borrowing, selling, and food and drinks.
