April 27: Daily briefing on novel coronavirus cases in China

On April 26, 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland reported 11 new cases of confirmed infections (all were imported cases, 5 in Sichuan province, 2 in Guangdong province, 1 in Inner Mongolia autonomous region, 1 in Shanghai municipality, 1 in Zhejiang province and 1 in Chongqing municipality), no new cases of suspected infections, and no deaths. 6 patients were released from hospital after being cured. 905 people who had had close contact with infected patients were freed from medical observation. The number of serious cases remained unchanged.
As of 24:00 on April 26, 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland had reported 5,612 cases of imported confirmed infections and no deaths. In all, 5,342 patients had been cured and discharged from hospital. There still remained 270 confirmed cases (including 4 cases in serious condition) and 3 suspected cases.
As of 24:00 on April 26, the National Health Commission had received reports of 90,610 confirmed cases and 4,636 deaths in 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland, and in all 85,658 patients had been cured and discharged from hospital. There still remained 316 confirmed cases (including 4 cases in serious condition) and 3 suspected cases. 1,006,364 people had been identified as having had close contact with infected patients. 8,336 were still under medical observation.
On April 26, 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland reported 14 new asymptomatic cases (all were imported cases). 14 asymptomatic cases were freed from medical observation (all were imported cases) and 4 (imported cases) became confirmed cases. As of 24:00 on April 26, 321 asymptomatic cases were still under medical observation (including 310 imported cases).
As of 24:00 on April 26, 12,893 confirmed infections had been reported in the Hong Kong and Macao special administrative regions and Taiwan province: 11,740 in Hong Kong (209 had died and 11,363 had been cured and discharged from hospital), 49 in Macao (all had been cured and discharged from hospital) and 1,104 in Taiwan (12 had died and 1,046 had been cured and discharged from hospital).
