Great Wall Motors' 5G-powered gasoline SUV, which is also the first of its kind in the world, made its debut on Monday, attracting attention of visitors at the Shanghai auto show.

The third-generation Haval H6 is equipped with the 7-nm 5G chip, which can process data 25 percent faster than the 4G chip.

Thanks to its 5G-powered architecture, the model is capable of firmware updates over the air, and features better safety functions, said Lyu Wenbin, a senior Haval executive.

In terms of its driving performance, the model features two powertrain options. The 1.5-liter engine has a top torque of 285 Nm while the 2.0-liter one produces 325 Nm.

Besides the vehicle, Great Wall Motors is showcasing latest models from its five brands of Haval, Poer, Wey, Ora and Tank.

Wey is receiving orders on the Mocha SUV. Available in five variants, it is priced from 179,800 yuan to 220,800 yuan.

The Ora brand, which is dedicated to electric cars, is presenting a super car, whose acceleration from zero to 100 km/hour takes less than 4 seconds.

The Tank, now an independent brand, unveiled its goal of selling 500,000 vehicles in 2025.

The Tank 700 and the Tank 800 vehicles made their premieres on Monday.
