Chinese electric startup Nezha Auto launched its Neta U Pro on Monday, which is expected to take on gasoline vehicles thanks to its prices and driving range.

Jiang Feng, the startup's chief marketing officer, said the Neta U Pro will mark the start of the EV segment to win over customers from gasoline vehicles.

The model, available in four variants, is priced from 99,800 yuan to 159,800 yuan and can run for up to 610 kilometers on one charge.

Its 2,770-mm wheelbase, the longest in its segment, ensures enough legroom drivers and passengers.

In terms of driving performance, it can accelerate from zero to 100 km/hour in 7 seconds and it takes 38 meters to stop the vehicle from 100 km/hour to zero.

The model has such smart features including automatic parking and facial recognition.

The startup is also showcasing the Neta S sports car and the Neta V's lady version.

The Neta S is a B-class vehicle based on a new platform that cost 2 billion yuan. It can finish the sprint from zero to 100 km/hour in 3.9 seconds.

The vehicle will be available in electric and range-extending versions. The electric one will have a range of over 800 km.

The carmaker is expanding its dealership network. It said there will be 150 dealerships across the country by the end of this year, of which nearly 80 will be directly owned by Nezha.
