Voyah showcases electric, plug-in hybrid SUVs at Auto Shanghai

Voyah, Dongfeng’s electric premium brand, is showcasing the plug-in hybrid and pure electric versions of its SUV Voyah Free, at the ongoing Shanghai auto show.

The carmaker is taking orders on the model, with the two variants priced at 313,600 and 333,600 yuan, respectively.

The plug-in hybrid Voyah Free sports a 1.5-liter turbocharged engine coupled with dual electric motors. It has a top output of 510 kW and a maximum torque of 1,040 Nm.

It finishes the zero to 100 km/hour sprint in 4.5 seconds, while the electric one, in 4.7 seconds.

The SUV features over 20 Level 2 plus autonomous functions, which will be available in the third quarter this year.

Its firmware and software can be updated over-the-air. The vehicle is also capable of voice command.

Lu Fang, Voyah’s CEO, said the carmaker is developing its own architecture, and new models built on it will roll off the assembly line in 2022.

The brand has now seven showrooms in major cities across the country.

Voyah also unveiled products in partnership with the Michelin Guide and designer brand Benwu.

Lei Xin, chief business officer of Voyah, said they share the same aspiration for a better life and will conduct in-depth collaboration to offer brand-new experience for its customers in food, mobility and lifestyle.
