Beijing Hyundai launched the fifth generation Tucson L on Monday in Wuxi, Jiangsu province. The carmaker will offer four variants of the model at suggested prices ranging from 161,800 yuan to 201,800 yuan ($24,723-$30,835).

The fifth generation Tucson is the first SUV based on Hyundai’s i-GMP platform, allowing for a wider chassis. With a 1.5-liter engine and Hyundai’s Continuously Variable Valve Duration system, the model provides high performance and low fuel consumption.

The SUV is also equipped with the Hyundai SmartSense system, which has 23 features of advanced driver assistance systems and achieves Level 2+ autonomous driving.

The model has a number of intelligent features thanks to Baidu's intelligent connected 3.0 system, such as speech recognition. It is also equipped with a Bluetooth Low Energy key to bring easy driving experience for customers.

Since the first Tucson hit the market in 2005, it has sold more than 7 million units worldwide and 1.6 million in China.
