April 11: Daily briefing on novel coronavirus cases in China

On April 10, 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland reported 10 new cases of confirmed infections (all were imported cases, 3 in Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region, 2 in Shanghai municipality, 1 in Beijing municipality, 1 in Tianjin municipality, 1 in Shanxi province, 1 in Guangdong province and 1 in Sichuan province), no new cases of suspected infections, and no deaths. 7 patients were released from hospital after being cured. 487 people who had had close contact with infected patients were freed from medical observation. Serious cases increased by 1.
As of 24:00 on April 10, 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland had reported 5,421 cases of imported confirmed infections and no deaths. In all, 5,219 patients had been cured and discharged from hospital. There still remained 202 confirmed cases (including 3 cases in serious condition) and 1 suspected case.
As of 24:00 on April 10, the National Health Commission had received reports of 90,410 confirmed cases and 4,636 deaths in 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland, and in all 85,488 patients had been cured and discharged from hospital. There still remained 286 confirmed cases (including 4 cases in serious condition) and 1 suspected case. 996,340 people had been identified as having had close contact with infected patients. 7,649 were still under medical observation.
On April 10, 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland reported 22 new asymptomatic cases (all were imported cases). 11 asymptomatic cases were freed from medical observation (all were imported cases) and no asymptomatic cases became confirmed cases. As of 24:00 on April 10, 296 asymptomatic cases were still under medical observation (including 271 imported cases).
As of 24:00 on April 10, 12,673 confirmed infections had been reported in the Hong Kong and Macao special administrative regions and Taiwan province: 11,568 in Hong Kong (207 had died and 11,193 had been cured and discharged from hospital), 49 in Macao (48 had been cured and discharged from hospital) and 1,056 in Taiwan (10 had died and 1,020 had been cured and discharged from hospital).
