BAIC ORV launched a special version of its BJ40 off-roader on Wednesday.

The model Daofeng Yingxiong, which literally means Blade Heroes, is available in five variants, priced from 169,900 yuan to 204,900 yuan.

Three of them sport diesel engines while the other two consume gasoline. The diesel engine versions have a driving range of 1,000 kilometers, thanks to better power performance and fuel efficiency.

They feature the all-new 2.0-liter turbocharged engine, which has a maximum output of 120 kW and a top torque of 380 Nm.

The engine partners with the ZF eight-speed transmission, which are usually found in premium vehicles.

The gasoline version features the new 2.3-liter turbocharged engine, and it can work at a temperature up to 126 degrees Celsius.

In addition, the body-on-frame model has far superior off-road capabilities, and the smart four-wheel-drive system can significantly enhance the top torque.

The professional chassis and the further improved steering system have enabled the model to have a steering diameter of 11 meters. Besides, it has a wading depth of 750 mm.
