Coming to China in 2004, Malek Yousef Mounther, from Syria, opened an Arab restaurant in Beijing called A Thousand and One Nights to link China with Syrian culture and food.

Now, the restaurant is not only a big family focused on good Arab cuisine but has gone beyond that concept to be a place for friendship, goodwill, and cultural exchanges.
