Birds-and-flower paintings delight museum visitors

Birds-and-flower paintings are a major genre of traditional Chinese painting. The SuzhouMuseum in Jiangsu province is providing a visual feast for visitors with its permanent collections themed on this subject.

A group of 34 artworks are on display, spanning the Ming and Qing dynasties (1368-1911). If you go, will you spot the superb works by eight female artists?
