Feb 11: Daily briefing on novel coronavirus cases in China

On Feb 10, 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland reported 2 new cases of confirmed infections (both were imported cases, 1 in Fujian province and 1 in Guangdong province), 1 new case of suspected infections (an imported case in Shanghai municipality), and no deaths. 92 patients were released from hospital after being cured. 2,842 people who had had close contact with infected patients were freed from medical observation. Serious cases decreased by 4.
As of 24:00 on Feb 10, 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland had reported 4,834 cases of imported confirmed infections and no deaths. In all, 4,587 patients had been cured and discharged from hospital. There still remained 247 confirmed cases (including 3 cases in serious condition) and 2 suspected cases.
As of 24:00 on Feb 10, the National Health Commission had received reports of 89,736 confirmed cases and 4,636 deaths in 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland, and in all 84,221 patients had been cured and discharged from hospital. There still remained 879 confirmed cases (including 13 cases in serious condition) and 2 suspected cases. 972,737 people had been identified as having had close contact with infected patients. 16,304 were still under medical observation.
On Feb 10, 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland reported 16 new asymptomatic cases (15 imported cases, and 1 indigenous case in Jilin province). 50 asymptomatic cases were freed from medical observation (including 18 imported cases) and no asymptomatic cases became confirmed cases. As of 24:00 on Feb 10, 521 asymptomatic cases were still under medical observation (including 289 imported cases).
As of 24:00 on Feb 10, 11,693 confirmed infections had been reported in the Hong Kong and Macao special administrative regions and Taiwan province: 10,710 in Hong Kong (189 had died and 10,022 had been cured and discharged from hospital), 48 in Macao (46 had been cured and discharged from hospital) and 935 in Taiwan (9 had died and 853 had been cured and discharged from hospital).
