Ancient buildings shine with unique charms

Located in Jixi county, Anhui province, the Ancestral Temple of the Hu’s, built during the middle of the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644), is famed for its fine wood carving decorations. In combination with nearby buildings it has the character of a tranquil painted scroll, reflecting a strong traditional Hui-style.
