An elaborate portrayal of Hutong life during the 1930s and 1940s!
Produced by the National Theatre of China, the drama Four Generations in One House finished its second tour in Shenyang, Liaoning province, on Dec 8. It is adapted from the novel of the same name by Lao She (1899-1966) that vividly depicts the lives of ordinary people in Beijing from 1937 to 1945 - a work of high literary and social historic value. This year also marks the 10th anniversary of the drama's debut.
