Executives from Ford and Lincoln unveils the China-made Nautilus.

Lincoln, the premium arm of Ford Motor Co, made the global debut of the Nautilus SUV, at the ongoing Guangzhou auto show.

The model, which is Lincoln's third China-made vehicle, is expected to further drive the brand's sales in the country.

The Nautilus sports a 2.7-liter turbocharged engine, generating a maximum output of 325 horsepower.

It features a rich variety of onboard functions including the SYNC+ infotaintment system and the Auto Air Refresh ventilation system designed for the Chinese market.

Lincoln sold more than 46,000 vehicles in the first 10 months this year, up 25 percent from the same period last year, despite the COVID-19 pandemic.

Its sales in September and October hit the record number of over 7,300 units respectively.

Mao Jingbo, president of Lincoln China, said 2020 marks the first year of localization for Lincoln, and the first two China-made models have shown their appeal in the market.

She said the third China-made model, the Nautilus, is expected to help Lincoln to sharpen its competitive edge and seize a decent share in the mid-size premium SUV market.
