Nov 13: Daily briefing on novel coronavirus cases in China

On Nov 12, 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland reported 8 new cases of confirmed infections (all were imported cases, 3 in Shanghai municipality, 1 in Inner Mongolia autonomous region, 1 in Henan province, 1 in Sichuan province, 1 in Shaanxi province and 1 in Gansu province), no new cases of suspected infections, and no deaths. 27 patients were released from hospital after being cured. 1,259 people who had had close contact with infected patients were freed from medical observation. The number of serious cases remained unchanged.
As of 24:00 on Nov 12, 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland had reported 3,662 cases of imported confirmed infections and no deaths. In all, 3,308 patients had been cured and discharged from hospital. There still remained 354 confirmed cases (including 3 cases in serious condition) and 2 suspected cases.
As of 24:00 on Nov 12, the National Health Commission had received reports of 86,307 confirmed cases and 4,634 deaths in 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland, and in all 81,279 patients had been cured and discharged from hospital. There still remained 394 confirmed cases (including 3 cases in serious condition) and 2 suspected cases. 872,244 people had been identified as having had close contact with infected patients. 15,977 were still under medical observation.
On Nov 12, 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland reported 15 new asymptomatic cases (all were imported cases). 45 asymptomatic cases were freed from medical observation (including 21 imported cases) and 1 (imported case) became a confirmed case. As of 24:00 on Nov 12, 697 asymptomatic cases were still under medical observation (including 450 imported cases).
As of 24:00 on Nov 12, 6,065 confirmed infections had been reported in the Hong Kong and Macao special administrative regions and Taiwan province: 5,430 in Hong Kong (108 had died and 5,170 had been cured and discharged from hospital), 46 in Macao (all had been cured and discharged from hospital) and 589 in Taiwan (7 had died and 532 had been cured and discharged from hospital).
