Nov 7: Daily briefing on novel coronavirus cases in China

On Nov 6, 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland reported 33 new cases of confirmed infections (all were imported cases, 11 in Shanghai municipality, 9 in Fujian province, 4 in Sichuan province, 4 in Shaanxi province, 3 in Inner Mongolia autonomous region and 2 in Guangdong province), no new cases of suspected infections, and no deaths. 33 patients were released from hospital after being cured. 1,068 people who had had close contact with infected patients were freed from medical observation. Serious cases decreased by 1.
As of 24:00 on Nov 6, 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland had reported 3,543 cases of imported confirmed infections and no deaths. In all, 3,199 patients had been cured and discharged from hospital. There still remained 344 confirmed cases (including 1 case in serious condition) and 23 suspected cases.
As of 24:00 on Nov 6, the National Health Commission had received reports of 86,184 confirmed cases and 4,634 deaths in 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland, and in all 81,131 patients had been cured and discharged from hospital. There still remained 419 confirmed cases (including 8 cases in serious condition) and 23 suspected cases. 868,043 people had been identified as having had close contact with infected patients. 16,532 were still under medical observation.
On Nov 6, 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland reported 27 new asymptomatic cases (including 25 imported cases). 34 asymptomatic cases were freed from medical observation (including 20 imported cases) and 2 asymptomatic cases became confirmed cases (both were imported cases). As of 24:00 on Nov 6, 823 asymptomatic cases were still under medical observation (including 495 imported cases).
As of 24:00 on Nov 6, 5,980 confirmed infections had been reported in the Hong Kong and Macao special administrative regions and Taiwan province: 5,361 in Hong Kong (107 had died and 5,131 had been cured and discharged from hospital), 46 in Macao (all had been cured and discharged from hospital) and 573 in Taiwan (7 had died and 523 had been cured and discharged from hospital).
