On Nov 1, 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland reported 24 new cases of confirmed infections (21 imported cases, 6 in Shanghai municipality, 5 in Guangdong province, 3 in Shanxi province, 3 in Gansu province, 2 in Sichuan province, 1 in Tianjin municipality and 1 in Jiangsu province; 3 indigenous cases, all in Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region), 1 new case of suspected infections (an imported case in Shanghai), and no deaths. 20 patients were released from hospital after being cured. 683 people who had had close contact with infected patients were freed from medical observation. Serious cases increased by 3.
As of 24:00 on Nov 1, 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland had reported 3,401 cases of imported confirmed infections and no deaths. In all, 3,100 patients had been cured and discharged from hospital. There still remained 301 confirmed cases (including 2 cases in serious condition) and 1 suspected case.
As of 24:00 on Nov 1, the National Health Commission had received reports of 86,021 confirmed cases and 4,634 deaths in 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland, and in all 81,024 patients had been cured and discharged from hospital. There still remained 363 confirmed cases (including 12 cases in serious condition) and 1 suspected case. 862,334 people had been identified as having had close contact with infected patients. 14,489 were still under medical observation.
On Nov 1, 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland reported 30 new asymptomatic cases (including 24 imported cases). 10 asymptomatic cases were freed from medical observation (all were imported cases) and 2 (indigenous cases) became confirmed cases. As of 24:00 on Nov 1, 684 asymptomatic cases were still under medical observation (including 460 imported cases).
As of 24:00 on Nov 1, 5,934 confirmed infections had been reported in the Hong Kong and Macao special administrative regions and Taiwan province: 5,330 in Hong Kong (105 had died and 5,096 had been cured and discharged from hospital), 46 in Macao (all had been cured and discharged from hospital) and 558 in Taiwan (7 had died and 518 had been cured and discharged from hospital).
