On Oct 14, 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland reported 11 new cases of confirmed infections (10 imported cases, 4 in Guangdong province, 3 in Shanghai municipality, 2 in Shaanxi province and 1 in Hebei province; 1 indigenous case that was previously an asymptomatic case reported in Qingdao, Shandong province on Sept 24), 2 new cases of suspected infections (both were imported cases in Shanghai), and no deaths. 12 patients were released from hospital after being cured. 865 people who had had close contact with infected patients were freed from medical observation. The number of serious cases remained unchanged.
As of 24:00 on Oct 14, 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland had reported 3,060 cases of imported confirmed infections and no deaths. In all, 2,833 patients had been cured and discharged from hospital. There still remained 227 confirmed cases (no cases in serious condition) and 7 suspected cases.
As of 24:00 on Oct 14, the National Health Commission had received reports of 85,622 confirmed cases and 4,634 deaths in 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland, and in all 80,748 patients had been cured and discharged from hospital. There still remained 240 confirmed cases (including 4 cases in serious condition) and 7 suspected cases. 843,357 people had been identified as having had close contact with infected patients. 8,571 were still under medical observation.
On Oct 14, 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland reported 23 new asymptomatic cases (all were imported cases). 17 asymptomatic cases were freed from medical observation (all were imported cases) and 2 became confirmed cases (including 1 imported case). As of 24:00 on Oct 14, 385 asymptomatic cases were still under medical observation (including 384 imported cases).
As of 24:00 on Oct 14, 5,777 confirmed infections had been reported in the Hong Kong and Macao special administrative regions and Taiwan province: 5,201 in Hong Kong (105 had died and 4,932 had been cured and discharged from hospital), 46 in Macao (all had been cured and discharged from hospital) and 530 in Taiwan (7 had died and 491 had been cured and discharged from hospital).
