Minxian county, in Northwest China's Gansu province, known as the "village of medicine for a thousand years", is one of the state-level poverty-stricken counties and one of the key poverty-stricken counties in the Liupanshan mountain area. As one of the eight counties in the province that has not yet been lifted out of poverty, Minxian's battle against poverty is ongoing, and the supporting role of the Chinese medicinal materials industry in boosting poverty alleviation of the whole county is becoming increasingly significant.
