June 12: Daily briefing on novel coronavirus cases in China

On June 11, 31 provincial-level regions on the Chinese mainland as well as the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps reported 7 new cases of confirmed infections (1 indigenous case in Beijing and 6 imported cases, 5 in Shanghai municipality and 1 in Fujian province), no new cases of suspected infections, and no deaths. 4 patients were released from hospital after being cured. 206 people who had had close contact with infected patients were freed from medical observation. There remained no serious cases.
As of 24:00 on June 11, 31 provincial-level regions on the Chinese mainland as well as the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps had reported 1,803 cases of imported confirmed infections and no deaths. In all, 1,740 patients had been cured and discharged from hospital. There still remained 63 confirmed cases (no cases in serious condition) and 1 suspected case.
As of 24:00 on June 11, the National Health Commission had received reports of 83,064 confirmed cases and 4,634 deaths in 31 provincial-level regions on the Chinese mainland and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps, and in all 78,365 patients had been cured and discharged from hospital. There still remained 65 confirmed cases (no cases in serious condition) and 1 suspected case. So far, 750,674 people have been identified as having had close contact with infected patients. 3,124 are now under medical observation.
On June 11, 31 provincial-level regions on the Chinese mainland as well as the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps reported 1 new asymptomatic case (an imported case). 25 asymptomatic cases were freed from medical observation (all are indigenous cases) and 1 (imported case) became a confirmed case. As of 24:00 on June 11, 104 asymptomatic cases were still under medical observation (including 45 imported cases).
As of 24:00 on June 11, 1,595 confirmed infections had been reported in the Hong Kong and Macao special administrative regions and Taiwan province: 1,107 in Hong Kong (4 had been dead and 1,055 had been cured and discharged from hospital), 45 in Macao (all had been cured and discharged from hospital) and 443 in Taiwan (7 had been dead and 431 had been cured and discharged from hospital).
