Hanxian Rock scenic area, located in Yunmenling town, Huichang county, Ganzhou city, Jiangxi province and on the junction of Fujian, Guangdong and Jiangxi, is most famous for its typical Danxia landform. It has been praised as "little Penglai to the south of the Yangtze River" since ancient times.

In 1995, it was listed as the province-level scenic spot; in 2011, it was raised to National Level-AAAA Tourist Attraction and in 2010, Hanxian Lake was selected as national scenic spot of water resources by China’s Ministry of Water Resources. It was listed a National Park of China in 2017.

The spot, which occupies about 75 square kilometers, has a south-to-north-length of 15 kilometers and a east-to-west width of 5 kilometers. It is named after Han Zhongli, one of the Eight Immortals in China, who was said to master Taoist magical arts here.

It includes 36 scenic areas in total, ranging from Hanxian Rock, Hanxian Lake, Mountain Pangu, Yangjiaoshui Fort, Hanxian Hot Spring to Guojiangping Old Pine Trees. The area contains profound cultural significance including legends of the Eight Immortals, Pangu culture, red culture and Hakka culture.

One can also relax by taking a hot spring bath at the scenic spot. With a normal temperature of about 58 degree Celsius around the mouth of the hot spring, Hanxian Rock hot spring is the largest one of its kind in southern Jiangxi province, based on daily water outflow.

Rich in mineral materials such as magnesium, sulfur and iron ore, the hot spring here is conducive to the treatment and cure of many diseases, including rheumatism, dermatosis, gynecology and neurasthenia.

Huichang county, with picturesque scenery, lies in the southeast of Ganzhou city in East China’s Jiangxi province.

Chinese Chairman Mao Zedong once went to Huichang and praised the county’s scenery as exceptionally beautiful.

The county covers an area of 2,722 square kilometers. It is widely known as one of the old revolutionary bases, which made a great contribution to the foundation of the People’s Republic of China.

Here, visitors can taste many special local products such as rice noodles, navel oranges and dried preserved bean curd.

Meanwhile, visitors can have a feast for the eyes because of the spectacular landscape.
