BEIJING - The Chinese mainland has adopted a series of measures to help Taiwan-invested enterprises resume work and production while strengthening epidemic prevention and control, a mainland spokesperson said Friday.

The targeted measures include securing the supply of epidemic prevention materials and granting special financial support, said Zhu Fenglian, spokesperson for the State Council Taiwan Affairs Office.

Taiwan-invested enterprises also have equal access to general support policies introduced for companies to overcome the difficulty, said Zhu.

Citing incomplete statistics, Zhu said that by March 10, over 90 percent of Taiwan-invested large-scale industrial enterprises have resumed work in regions with concentrated investment from Taiwan.

In addition, a batch of major Taiwan-invested projects on the mainland worth a total of over 15 billion yuan (about $2.14 billion) have been signed recently, showing Taiwan companies' consistent optimism about the development prospects of the mainland, Zhu said.
