Dear foreign friends,

Recently, the city of Zhoushan, East China's Zhejiang province has been hard at work fighting the novel coronavirus pneumonia, but this wouldn't be possible without the help of local residents and foreigners like you. We are very grateful for what you've done for the city and would like to extend our thanks to you and your family.

To date, seven confirmed cases have been reported in the city, 5 of which have recovered and been released from the hospital. This puts the city top place among all prefecture-level cities in the province when it comes to the prevention and control of the virus.

In January, the monthly executed foreign capital amounted to nearly $98 million, a year-on-year increase of 390 percent.

We don't plan on letting the virus get in the way of economic development. In accordance with the regulations set by the Zhejiang Provincial People's Government, the city's municipal government has implemented a series of policies to help foreign-invested companies, especially small and medium-sized companies, during this period.

In order to ensure your safety and health, we will keep in touch with you through e-mail, video, telephone, and other online mediums. We hope to hear your concerns and help in any way we can.

Moving forward, the city will continue to fight the virus and work hard to improve the business environment, provide better financial and public services for existing foreign-invested companies, and attract more foreign investment.

Spring is just around the corner. We look forward to seeing you in our beautiful coastal city after the fight is over.

Best regards,

Zhoushan Municipal Bureau of Commerce
