Chinese procuratorates go online in case management amid epidemic control

BEIJING -- Procuratorial organs at various levels across China have adopted new approaches to case management such as hotlines and online case handling amid efforts to contain the COVID-19 epidemic.

Procuratorial organs in eastern China's Jiangsu Province have been taking advantage of a provincial political and legal big data platform and an online case management platform for case handling and transfer as well as document sharing and case supervision.

In the city of Songyuan, northeast China's Jilin Province, the local procuratorate checked on suspects on bail or under residential surveillance by phone or video to reduce close contacts.
