Beijing Concert Hall was the first professional concert hall in the People's Republic of China. It is located in the central area of Chang'an avenue, the very heart of Beijing, and boasts a history of nearly half a century as a national landmark. In the 1980s, under the supervision of China's famous maestros Li Delun (1917-2001) and Yan Liangkun (1923-2017), the hall was rebuilt on its original site. After renovations in 2004, Beijing Concert Hall officially reopened for business on December 31 that year.

The hall has a penetrating glass facade, a solemn and elegant interior design, outstanding acoustics and qualified theater services. It is one of China's high-end performance venues for professional classical music communities from at home and abroad.

Hanging below the stage ceiling are 16 acoustic panels, ensuring the highest fidelity of sound in every corner of the auditorium. With modern architectural acoustic measures in interior design that produce good frequency responses, moderate reverberation time, and uniform sound field distribution, the concert hall is an ideal space for professional performances and live recording. A number of record companies have made their albums there for worldwide release.

The Beijing Concert Hall covers a land area of 2,750 square meters. It has 1,024 seats with noise insulation, which enables the best experience for each individual audience member. The stage area is approximately 270 square meters, 21 meters wide at the proscenium and 13 meters in depth, enabling it to host symphony orchestras and choruses of up to 100 musicians or performers.
