Zhoushan to integrate culture, tourism
Authorities in Zhoushan, East China's Zhejiang province released an action plan aimed at enhancing the integration of the culture and tourism sectors on May 4.
Zhujiajian Daqingshan National Park
Zhujiajian Daqingshan National Park is the major scenic spot of Zhujiajian, a national five-level scenic spot of Putuo district, Zhoushan. The park covers an area of 10 square kilometers, with a coastline of more than 30 km and a seaside tourist avenue of 18 km.
Gouqi Island
Known as "Little Greece of the East,” Gouqi Island is located in the northeastern part of the Zhoushan Islands, Zhejiang Province, and the eastern part of Jixian county, close to downtown Zhoushan and Shanghai.
Dongji Islands
The Dongji Islands can be translated to East Pole Islands in Chinese. It is not a formal geographical name, nor a single island. It is a general term for all the islands under the jurisdiction of Dongji town, Putuo district, Zhoushan.
Daishan Island
Daishan Island, also known as Penglai Fairyland, is really composed of 406 islands. They look like strings of bright jewels inlaid in the East China Sea.
Nandong Art Valley
Nandong Art Valley, also known as Sun Valley, is located at the Xinjian Community of Ganlan Town. It is an environmentally friendly, ecological village, where tourists can experience a special way of life in the Zhoushan Islands.
Maao Museum
Maao Museum is the only museum to display ancient fishing villages’ wares in Zhejiang province. Some exhibits in the museum date back to 6,000 years ago.
Mount Putuo
Mount Putuo is a small island among Zhoushan Archipelago’s 1,390 islands. It covers an area of 12.93 square km, and is one of Buddhism’s Four Sanctuaries Mountains in China.
Dinghai Ancient Street
Some old streets in Dinghai district have a history of more than 1,200 years. The stunning, well-preserved architecture consists of many wonderful buildings made of flagstones, stones and wood, featuring characteristics of the Zhoushan islands.
