Baidu Tieba

Baidu Tieba (literally "Baidu Post Bar") is an independent brand of Baidu, the largest Chinese community in the world. The idea of Tieba came from Robin Li, CEO of Baidu. He intended to create an online communication platform under the framework of Baidu search engine, bringing together those who are interested in similar topics to facilitate communication and mutually help each other. Tieba is a theme communication community based on keyword search, which can accurately grasp the users’ needs and cater to their interests.

Tieba contents cover various topics such as the society, life, education, entertainment stars, games, sports, companies, etc. It provides a free cyberspace for like-minded netizens to express and exchange their ideas.

Zhihu

Zhihu is an online Q&A community that connects users from all walks of life. Users share their knowledge, experience and insights, continually providing a variety of information for the Chinese Internet. Users can discuss their topics of interest and subscribe to those who share your interests. The integration of divergent thinking is a major feature of Zhihu. The website was opened in December 2010 and was selected into the Top 30 list of Influencing the Era - China Business Cases by Financial Times China in November 2017.

Douyin short video

Douyin (TikTok in overseas operation) is a creative short music video social networking application, a 15-second short music video community catering to the young people. Users can select songs as background music, shoot 15 seconds of short music videos and publish the works on their accounts.

Douyin was launched in September 2016. On November 10, 2017, Jinri Toutiao (literally “Today's Headlines”) purchased Musical.ly, a North American music short video social platform, for $1 billion and merged it with Douyin. On March 19, 2018, Douyin announced its new slogan "recording good life" (or "Make every second count" in its overseas operation).  In June 2018, the first batch of 25 State-owned central enterprises made their debut on Douyin.

Douban

Douban is a community website founded by Yang Bo (screen name "Abei") on March 6, 2005. The website provides information about books, films, music and other works, all with user-generated content (UGC), a unique website of Web 2.0. The website also provides a variety of service functions such as recommendations of books, films and music, off-line local activities and themed group discussions. It is more like an all-in-one innovative network service platform combining hobbies and tastes (Books, Films, Music), expression of opinions (I read, I watched, I listened to) and communication (Locality, Groups, Neighbors), dedicated to helping urban people discover valuable things in life. In August 2012, Douban announced that its monthly number of unique visitors (UV) had exceeded 100 million, with an average daily page views (PV) of 160 million.

MOMO

MOMO(NASDAQ: MOMO) is a location-based open mobile video social networking application. With MOMO, you can show yourself through videos, texts, voice, and pictures, and discover people in the vicinity based on geographic location to establish a real-life, effective, and healthy social relationship. MOMO was officially launched in August 2011. As of February 2014, its registered users had exceeded 100 million.
